AVL-GEOTrac
Satellite
Unlike geosynchronous satellites that are
parked above the equator, GEOVision-Satellite does not have
line-of-sight issues. The low-earth-satellite passes overhead providing
your remote workers and fleets reliable service especially important for
GEOTrac’s Lifeline Safety Service
Cellular
Many companies deal with
inaccurate and late job tickets returning from the field. Now with
GEOVision-Cellular, field workers can enter or capture data from the
field and send it to the central office. Companies with enterprise
resource planning software (ERP) can import data directly from the field
without manually re-entering the data.
GEOVision-Cellular can be
connected directly to a laptop in the truck for those heavy duty
applications. In-vehicle mapping is now available through GEOTrac’s
Asset Control Center 3.5. Use your Internet browser to view your entire
fleet right from the field.
Of course GEOVision-Cellular and GEOVision-Satellite have complete GPS track and trace capabilities. Fleet management reports for location-based information is available through the Asset Control Center 3.5
Asset Control Centre 3.5
The Asset Control Center 3.5 combines the
detail of Point2It 4.0 with the GEOTrac Messaging Center. Dispatchers
can easily pinpoint a vehicle or branch of vehicles and send a dispatch
or message directly to the vehicle, even when out of cellular range.
Quick View provides dispatchers, safety managers or operation managers
the status of active trucks for dispatch or sending a message.
GEOFencing by LSD, marker, or location is
standard with the Asset Control Center 3.5. Unique to GEOTrac is the
ability to GEOFence to road segment. Now dispatchers can be notified
when a vehicle crosses the virtual permitter road segment by road
segment. This is important on private lease roads when speeding can
jeopardize a service contract.
Reporting Service is a very important part of the Asset Control Center 3.5. Companies can view, assess and integrate location-based information that is critical for business decisions. Fleet utilization, fuel consumption, speeding infractions, fuel tax rebates, preventative maintenance, emergency response are all available with GEOTrac’s reporting service. Beyond knowing where the vehicles are or have been, operators can determine operation time or distance on any vehicle in the fleet.
Personal Safety Monitor

Using SMART technology, the Personal Safety
Monitor has auto-ranging that will notify the worker when they are about
to exceed the up to 500 meter boundary. Once the pendant is activated,
it will even acknowledge to the worker that the message has been sent.
Ideal for situations in the oil and gas
industry such as H2S (sour gas) areas, the Personal Safety Monitor is
certified for Class 1 Div 1 equivalency. Combined with GEOVision,
safety managers or dispatchers can deploy with pinpoint accuracy the
nearest resources from their fleet or emergency response.
GEOTrac’s Asset Control Center 3.5 enables
safety managers to forward distress messages from the Personal Safety
Monitor to an email address, SMS enabled phone or a mobile data terminal
in another vehicle.
Out of Truck Notification
Once the count down has been activated in the
vehicle, a back up timer is also activated at a remote GEOTrac server
offsite. If an incident occurs on site, the remote server will continue
to count down.
As the timer is about to expire, an extremely
loud siren which is connected to the GEOVision modem, notifies the
worker that their working session is about to expire unless the timer is
reset. If the worker does not return in time, the siren will alert the
worker it has sent a distress message through the wireless network to
the safety manager.
The distress message can also be forwarded to
additional resources as back up such as an area manager, 24 hr call
center or direct to emergency response services.
The Out of Truck Notification lifeline service is a two-way service. If a safety manager needs to reach a remote worker outside of cellular range, the safety manager can activate the vehicle’s siren notifying the driver to return to the vehicle for a message.
